PET/PE and other barrier laminates
Our offer includes a wide array of laminates of films that may be used both as lid films in the MAP and vacuum systems, as well as in
flowpack and bag-based systems.
The laminate-based packaging, depending on the type of the packed product, has a great mechanical strength, due to the fact that a variety of film types is connected together.
PA, BOPA, BOPP, PET are used as some of the base materials.
Barrier laminated films , thanks to their barrier properties, have attractive printing and perfect glossy appearance, are perfectly suited to the needs of the contemporary food industry. In case of this type of film, inter-layer printing is a perfect method of protecting the graphical content from any damage that may occur when the products are transported or stored.
The laminating process makes it possible to protect the print-out in a way, which would prevent any external factors from causing any damage on its surface. It also allows for a great increase of the barrier properties of the base film.
What is more, one of the most important benefits coming from the use of the laminates include:
- prolonged “best-before” period, regarding the food products,
- protection of the packed product from the external factors,
- including, among other factors, oxygen, water, light and UV rays,
- option of tailoring the barrier properties of the packaging
- through selection of proper layers,
- tailoring the packaging to the specific packing machine, by using a specific
- heat-sealed layer – tailored to the given device.
Our laminates are used most often to pack the following products:
- meat and cold meat,
- fish,
- cheeses and cottage cheeses,
- ready to eat meals ,
- frozen food,
- powdered products,
- confectionery products,
- animal food,
- household chemistry products.
The laminates may be:
- colourless,
- metallized,
- may feature an inter-layer printout,
- matt.
They may be equipped with:
- the EVOH barrier
- anti-fog, peel and easy peel systems,
- reclosable system.
Usually we deliver the laminates in a thickness range between 45 and 200 microns. We also deliver materials that are specifically tailored to the customer’s needs.
The inter-layer printed laminates (where the printed layer is protected from damage by additional external layers) are being used as top film cover in case of the MULTIVAC, VARIOVAC, ULMA and other packing machines, as well as in case of packing with the use of vertical and horizontal FLOW PACK machines.

- wide scope of thermal sealability with the PS material, within the temperature range between 180 and 230 °C,
- can be hot-filled and sterilized with the UV rays.
The films are delivered on a roll, printed with the use of the HD Flexo technology, with lengths of up to 560 mm, in 8 colors.
Alupet is a top cover film that may be used to seal off the cups that are stamped by thermoforming machines, with the use of the PS film. By including aluminium in its structure, which greatly enhances the barrier properties, Alupet is perfectly suited for packing products that have expanded “best-before” terms, such as desserts or puddings.
