lids & top cover films

Top-cover films

Our offer also includes top-cover films, rolled as a laminated material  based on aluminum foil, paper, metallized plastic film with the thermal lacquer (PS, PFC, PP), inter alia: PET, ECOR FPO, Mixpap, Aluminum, Alupet.

These laminates are commonly used as yogurt or kefir, cream, cheese, batched butter or jam or honey, chocolate cream, dessert, jelly and pudding covers.

Mixpap is a material which is based on metallized PET and paper. It is being used to cover the thermoformed cups made out of the PS film, within a single manufacturing process, along with the procedure of filling the packaging (FFS Form-Fill-Seal).
It is being used mainly to create packaging for yoghurt, homogenized cheese and cream.

Good thermal sealability and barrier properties, together with attractive metallized surface make this material stand out on the shop shelves.

Features:

  • very high mechanical strength,
  • good mechanical properties,
  • perfect resistance towards tearing and puncture,
  • optimized freshness of the products,
  • metallized lids constitute a barrier for light, oxygen, waters and aromas,
  • option of tailoring the material in a way that would make it possible to integrate it with PS, PP or PE surface,
  • wide scope of thermal sealability with the PS material, within the temperature range between 180 and 230°C,
  • can be hot-filled and sterilized with the UV rays.

Alupet may be used to close the cups that are manufactured with the PS film and thermal forming machinery. Due to the fact that it contains aluminium, its barrier properties are greatly enhanced. Alupet is perfectly suited for packing  products that have extended “best before” date, such as desserts or puddings.

Features:

  • perfect barrier properties – the material is proof to steam and the gas substances,
  • corrosion resistant,
  • high resistance to oils and fats,
  • good protection from light and the UV rays,
  • good mechanical and thermal resistance,
  • wider range of thermal weldability (from 170°C).

Additionally, this material is perfectly suited for packing:

  • dairy products (yoghurt, milk-based desserts, creams, butter, cottage cheese),
  • jams, jelly,
  • ice cream,
  • water etc.
